Mr. Vidaurreta's entrepreneurial and senior management experience have allowed him to establish and lead multiple successful businesses including a medical provider network and a medical management and consulting company. As Chief Executive Officer and Founder of California Healthcare Networks Inc., he has amassed a state-wide network of 12,000+ medical providers and has secured exclusive contracts between CHN, Union Medicine LLC, and Union Industrial Medicine, LLC.  His diligent efforts and vision have provided CHN a unique and exciting opportunity to position itself as a market leader in providing a wide array of healthcare services and information technology solutions. Mr. Vidaurreta possesses a Master’s degree in Finance and Business Administration with an emphasis in International Trade and Marketing from California State University of Fullerton and dual B.S. degrees in Business Administration and Chemistry from Loma Linda University.

Edwin M. Ashley, M.D. Corporate Medical Director

Dr. Ashley has been a licensed medical physyican for over 20 years. Since 1997, he has specialized in the field of Orthopedic Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the California Orthopedic Association. He is American Board certified in Orthodepic Surgery and is a certified Qualified Medical Evaluator. He currently serves as Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Charles Drew School of Medicine. Dr. Ashley has dedicated hes medical career to Orthopedic Hand Surgery. He has become a leading expert in this field and has published several articles. He has also given presentations specializing in hand and wrist injuries and nerve damage. His expertise and understanding of this industry is a great value and asset to Prospice.

 Jim Arriola, Executive Vice President

Also serves as CEO, Sekure Healthcare. With over 20 years of management and business experience, Jim is an innovative business executive who has led the development and operations of pioneering healthcare insurance products.   Jim is active in work groups and discussions with government officials and regulators from both sides of the US-Mexico border to improve access to health care for Latinos and the uninsured.   He led Blue Shield of California’s program to becoming the first California-based, Cross-border HMO Plan.  Jim has been appointed by the California Department of Health Services to serve on the Advisory Group for the California Office of Bi-national Border Health.   Jim, a first generation American, became the first Latino from his Southern California congressional district to be admitted to and graduate from the United States Military Academy at West Point.  He has served honorably in the U.S. Army for 12 years reaching the rank of Major.  Jim also has two Master degrees - an MS in Human Resources Management from Chapman University and an MBA from National University.

Jose Aroeste, Chief Finanical Officer/Investor Relations

Also serves as EVP/CFO, Sekure Healthcare and CEO of Prospice Insurance Associates, LLC.  With over 17 years of banking and business experience, Jose is a seasoned finance professional who has advised and serviced Mexican corporations and individuals with US banking needs throughout his career.  With a fully bilingual and bicultural upbringing, he has successfully adapted Mexican investors to US financial strategies and regulations, while at the same time sensitizing US financial institutions and their regulators to the special needs of those investors.  Jose is keenly attuned to the needs of Latino families in the United States, having been born and raised in Mexico City.  Upon immigrating to Los Angeles, he joined the Hispanic Bankers Association and the Board of Directors of the US-Mexico Chamber of Commerce, while working for California Commerce Bank, the US subsidiary of Banamex.  Prior to joining Access Salud, Jose served as a Vice President in the Private Banking Division for Bank of America in San Diego.  Jose has a BA in Economics from Universidad Anahuac in Mexico City, an MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA, and a Certificate of International Business from the University of San Diego.  Jose has a passion for helping other Latinos succeed in their lives’ endeavors both in Mexico and in the United States.

Ruthi Torres, Chief Operations Officer

Ms. Torres is a co-founder of Prospice Group Corporation and has served as Chief Operations Officer for all of the Prospice group of companies.  She has extensive management and customer service experience. As the Chief Operations Officer, she organizes and accomplishes many tasks, such as communicating with doctors, office staff, ancillary companies and problem solving issues.  Her expertise in customer service has been instrumental in the growth of Prospice Group and all of its companies.  She was President of the Brite Line Company and previously served as a Client Relations Manager for a financial institution. Ms. Torres has received her Associates Degree in Business Administration from Orange Coast College.

Dr. Shortz is a seasoned and experinced Neurosurgeon who posses over thirty years of experince in his discpline. He has owned and operated a sucessful private practice and surgery centers throughout his laudable career. He is the founder and Medical Provider of Prospice Medical Group, a professional corporation. Dr. Shortz is Board Cerified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons, a Diplomate of The National Board of Medical Examiners, and a Qualified Medical Examiner.
